Many times we think, freedom of expression is our constitutional right and we can use any kind of language against anyone, anywhere. But this is not true. You have to follow some standards to use your right freedom of expression. In this short article, I will discuss about the incident, and the action taking place against the culprit. Also we will give you some legal lessons on such kind of events.
In 2020, both the parliaments passed three farm laws. These farm laws were brought with ordinance. After sometimes these three farm bills became burning issue in India. Huge protests against the government of India was taking place in different cities, towns in India. Since this was a protest against current BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, opposition parties caught this occasion and supported the farmers in protests. Many big events, violence also took place during the protests. Same occurred in Tehsil Deosar of Singrauli district Madhya Pradesh. They took permission from SDM Deosar to conduct a Kisan Protest against these farm laws. The SDM Deosar granted permission with some guidelines.
I remember, I was, on the roof of my building where I reside, clearly listening opposition leaders abusing Narendra Modi and about his caste, working etc. Date was probably 15/01/2021. It was really sad to listen something wrong/abusive on loudspeaker near Deosar Market. This became talk of the town and soon workers, leaders of BJP lodged an FIR against congress leader who was abusing PM Narendra Modi publicly. Name of the congress leader is Saktar, he is 83 years old.

Jiyawan (Deosar) Police lodged an FIR against the leader under section 294 IPC for abusing PM publicly and under section 153 IPC for absurdly abusing PM that could cause riot, violence among people there. Now as of today the charge-sheet is presented at Assistant District Public Prosecution Office, Deosar Court, Singrauli, MP. Police did not arrest the culprit as for the crime he had committed, punishment was less than 7 years and he was not about to flee.
Lesson we should learn - We are witnessing daily abuse to celebrities or famous icons or someone who is around us on different platforms like digital/social media, open in assemblies. We should always remember, our freedom of liberty and expression is limited, we are bound not to hurt anyone because of only the reason we hate him. We should be aware of existing rules and regulations of legal world of India (or any kind of law where we are living). We do not have assigned power to punish anyone mentally or physically. We can go to court or police if something happening wrong.
We have also problem with the current government, we have problem with huge inflation, COVID-19 mismanagement, bad condition of hospitals, corruption etc, but who are we to decide someone's fate? It is the work of Police, Court, and the authorities who have been assigned to do so. For just sake of attention and pseudo attention we commit crimes, we harass other ones. Crime never pays.
