After 2015, an order by GAD, CPCT is mandatory for all such examinations for data entry/IT Operator/Assistant Grade-3/steno/shorthand/typist and other similar positions in the departments, corporations and agencies under Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Candidates who have CPCT have better opportunity of getting government job with less competition compared to those who do not have CPCT. In order to this trend, many institutions, computer centers, MP Online operators, individuals have implicated students in the name of CPCT training. But today I am going to expose all myths and will give beneficial guidance to candidates who are willing to crack CPCT in their first attempt.

Candidates who are appearing for CPCT again and again but are unable to crack, should not be sad, because after every darkness, daylight always comes. Let's talk something about CPCT in brief, then look into the strategy.

Brief History of CPCT - 

CPCT acronym of Computer Proficiency Certification Test is conducted by Madhya Pradesh Agency for Promotion of Information Technology. CPCT is a certification test which validity was prior 2 years, when it was launched in 2015's order. Then CPCT was conducted after every 6 months intervals, any if a candidate has appeared for examination, he would not be eligible to sit in next exam (for within 6 months). Later the interval of exam conducting reduced after every 3 months, later after MP Patwari exam, 2 month interval (means 6 exams in a year). In 2019, October, validity extended for 4 years, and now as of March 23, 2021 GAD order, the all prior CPCT certificates are valid for 7 years.

Overview of CPCT - CPCT has 3 sections of examination, first one is MCQ of 75 marks (38 marks out of 75 is necessary for passing), English Typing of 15 minutes (after 5 minutes of mock test), Hindi Typing (after 5 minutes of mock test and 15 minutes interval in between MCQ & English Typing). Hindi Typing Passing is 20 wpm and English Typing Passing is 30 wpm. MCQ has 52 marks of Computer Quiz (difficulty level has increased), remaining paper consist of Mathematics, Reasoning, Unseen Passage, and General Awareness.

How to crack CPCT (Computer Proficiency Certification Test) by MAP-IT in your first attempt!

1. Follow previous year question papers of CPCT (at least 2 years).

2. Pursue DCA / PGDCA / M.Sc.(cs), BCA, MCA or any computer while preparing for CPCT, follow every subject in detail. This will help you better understanding of subject.

3. Practice for Hindi & English typing, heed on accuracy rather speeding. 

4. Better to work on any Computer Shop / Institute (part time), for improving skills. Do typing related job, if possible. (not for money, just for learning - it is called internship)

5. Follow Vyapam / PEB question papers / syllabus, for Mathematics, Reasoning, and General Awareness.

6. Avoid joining training for CPCT who take hefty money from you, in return they only give you computer to type. This is big scam, even most of the CPCT trainers have not passed CPCT exam ever.

7. Follow some YouTube channels, better watch videos for learning. Technological movies, videos will help you creating interest.

8. Daily and consistent practice. This is the key of success.

9. Never get in touch with those who only talk, and do not do hard work. Stay away from negative persons.
