Omicron (B.1.1.529): SARS-CoV-2: A new Variant of Covid-19 - People Infected by Covid-19 prior are in More Danger

Omicron is a new variant of coronavirus. In this article we shall discuss in brief about Omicron and will also explain about the current situation in India concerning Omicron variant. As per news reports Omicron could is more dangerous than any other variants of Covid-19 prior. We shall also discuss about the possibilities of Lockdown in India in 2022.

Omicron: A new variant of Covid-19

Covid-19 - Its full name of Corona Virus Disease 2019 and it is group of many viruses. Covid-19 has ruined the lives of many people worldwide. Countries have faced economic and health crisis. Actually, all of you have witnessed the hardness of the coronavirus pandemic. This outbreak has broken many lives and it is also not gone so far.

Omicron - Omicron (B.1.1.529): SARS-CoV-2 is a variant of Covid-19. You can also say that Omicron itself is Covid-19. Before concluding about this variant we should see the official data and texting of WHO (World Health Organization) about Omicron. So, in this article I have taken facts from WHO that is the biggest institute of genuineness.

What is 'Variant' -  "Most viruses – including SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 – evolve over time. When a virus replicates or makes copies of itself, it sometimes changes a little bit, which is normal for a virus. These changes are called “mutations”. Any virus with one or more new mutations can be referred to as a “variant” of the original virus." Virus of Covid-19 are capable of making self copies and changing the characteristics.

Current knowledge about Omicron - On 26th November, 2021 WHO designated a new variant of Covid-19 as Omicron. There is no definite knowledge about Omicron as of now as per the World Health Organization. It is a variant, or showing similarity with Covid-19 mutations.

Transmissibility - "It is not yet clear whether Omicron is more transmissible (e.g., more easily spread from person to person) compared to other variants, including Delta. The number of people testing positive has risen in areas of South Africa affected by this variant, but epidemiologic studies are underway to understand if it is because of Omicron or other factors." So it is clear that Omicron is a contagious disease similar to other variants of coronavirus but it is not sure whether Omicron is more contagious than other variants.

Severity of disease - It cannot be said that Omicron is more dangerous in terms of severity because of less knowledge about same. More people are being hospitalized in South Africa but it cannot also be said that the reason is Omicron. It may be or may not be more dangerous than other variants of Covid-19.

Effectiveness of prior SARS-CoV-2 infection - Those people who have been infected by the Coronavirus before are at more risk of being inflected by Omicron. Those people could be reinfected.

Effectiveness of vaccines - Vaccination is effective reducing severe disease and death by some variants of Covid-19. Vaccination could be effective for Omicron too. Further studies will tell whether vaccination is that much effective as other variants of Covid-19.

WHO Recommendation for Countries - After the recognition of (B.1.1.529): SARS-CoV-2 as new variant of Covid-19 named Omicron, the WHO has alerted countries worldwide. WHO has said to countries to keep surveillance strictly and follow the rules of SOP (Standard of Procedure) like wearing masks, avoiding public gathering, using sanitization and maintaining hygiene. Also WHO expected the countries to have more testings to know better increasing cases of new variant of Covid-19.

Omicron in India & Lockdown 2022 - There are not many cases in India of Omicron as far today dated when I am writing this article. By the way there is a chance of possibility of existing Omicron in India because of unlocked conditions. As the WHO released guidelines against Omicron, many countries have started following strict guidelines. There is high probability of lockdown in India in 2022 in some month of March-April. 

Even, Madhya Pradesh government conducted an urgent meeting on Omicron and decided to open school with only 50% of students capacity and also ordered schools to continue online classes. The Madhya Pradesh government has also warned not to hold protests and public gatherings. These are signs of lockdown in near future.

There is also a chance of Open Book Examinations or general promotions for different academic examinations within India for 2022. Other aspect is, governments willingly will misuse the new variant to impose lockdown and imposing hefty fine to common people. Formerly, we have witnessed the corruption in hospitals and in market, same could happen in near future and supplementary inflation could also take place. Recent example, government employees of Madhya Pradesh were willing to hold a huge protest for demanding dearness allowance equal to central government, the Shivraj led Madhya Pradesh government has released a guideline warning to people of not holding any type of protest and public gathering. Virus and disease are a political tool nowadays.

Steps for downloading the coronavirus vaccination certificate-

1. You need to visit official website: https://www.cowin.gov.in/home

2. Click on "Register/Sign In yourself" highlighted link button in yellow shaded color.

Click on red circled "Register/Sign In yourself"

3. As you click on "Register/Sign In yourself" option, a new window will be optioned.

Enter registered Mobile Number and Get OTP

(Direct link for Official website of this window: https://selfregistration.cowin.gov.in/)

4. You have to enter your registered mobile number (at the time of vaccination at vaccination center, when you gave your Aadhar Card Number and Mobile Number). In a few seconds, you get OTP on registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and verify it.

5. As you verify your mobile number with OTP, a new window with your vaccination details will be optioned.

6. Click on "Certificate" option in that Dose 1 or Dose 2 section, which is applicable. As you click on the option, your certificate will be downloaded in PDF (Portable Document File) format. Your corona vaccination certificate will be looking like below:

My point of view on Vaccination - I am already vaccinated on 24th June, 2021. I took Covishield. I felt fever and body pain after taking the first dose on 24th June. It was really cool and safe. I recommend everyone to get vaccinated and stay away from rumors.

CUSTOMS : A THREAT OF COVID-19

Today I visited to nearby villages in Sidhi district, actually there is my uncle's home in Bahari division. Nowadays I am working in Deosar Tehsil of Singrauli district, MP. In this article you are going to know about some burning issues and common facts happening to rural India regarding the corona virus disease.

Coming to the point, as all you know that COVID-19 is a pandemic that is group of viruses and is spread by touch, even from air mean too. As of May, 2021 the wave of corona virus is getting speed again, more people are getting infected. Now this pandemic is spread in villages as well. Many people are dying of corona virus disease.

As all we know that after death, rituals are followed in rural Hindu tradition. A fresh example of this accident is from Mauhariya village, (Mauhar village too) under Bahari division in district Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh. A person died of COVID-19, a lot of people gathered from different villages and participated in rituals and customs for more than 13 days. They complete all customs in group, they all follow rituals that need physical touch as well. Think, how one can be safe if a person dies of corona virus while other people are having huge probability of getting infected.

A barber was called by some powerful people of Mauhar village, whom relative was passed away recently because of the corona virus disease. They threatened the barber saying he would not ignore the order of Bahubali (powerful persons of village) to complete the customs / rituals, if he ignored they would beat or even kill him.

There are plenty of such examples where the corona virus disease is spread more because of unawareness and unwanted gatherings of individuals in the name of customs. Indeed these customs must be followed and should be respected, but as per nowadays scenario, need of the hour is to maintain the values of government guidelines and stay updated to the standards of procedure by the World Health Organization.

A request from the government is that, the officials must ensure the safety of individuals participating in these events. This is not only in death cases, but people commit such mistakes in birthday parties, marriages, Upnayan Sanskar and so on kinda events. 

As a good citizen of India, individual should realize his / her duty to curb the COVID-19. Customs / rituals are not valuable than human being lives, so let us unite and pledge not to create unwanted things that causes spread of the corona virus disease.

HOW TO CURB COVID-19 ? IS THIS NOT MORE POLITICAL AND INHUMAN SIGHT THAN REALITY!

 COVID-19 means Corona Virus Disease 2019, a well known term and broadly known as Corona Virus. Today we are going to discuss about COVID-19 in broad sense. We hope that this article may create some difference in inner soul of government officers, especially police forces. It is over a year since we are witnessing deaths, griefs, immense poverty and mismanagement of hospitals, markets. Before coming to any conclusion we must know both sides of this outbreak.

I remember, in December 2019, I watched a video of Prashant Dhawan sir on Study IQ YouTube Channel, referring biggest pandemic of this era, obviously originated from Wuhan, China. I was literally confident that we are living in this scientific technology and none disease can overcome human mind. But what happened, all we are well aware of.

COVID-19 is such a disease that is a group of many viruses, corona virus is not a particular virus that can be curbed easily. There are some symptoms of COVID-19 like below:

COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness and recover without hospitalization.

Most common symptoms: 

➤fever

➤dry

➤cough

➤tiredness

Less common symptoms: 

➣aches and pains

➣sore throat 

➣diarrhoea

➣conjunctivitis

➣headache

➣loss of taste or smell

➣a rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes

Serious symptoms: 

➢difficulty breathing or shortness of breath

➢chest pain or pressure

➢loss of speech or movement

Seek immediate medical attention if you have serious symptoms. Always call before visiting your doctor or health facility.

People with mild symptoms who are otherwise healthy should manage their symptoms at home.

On average it takes 5–6 days from when someone is infected with the virus for symptoms to show, however it can take up to 14 days.

Dear readers, we have provided you information of symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) so that you can take care of yourself and can distinguish whether it is common or severe symptoms. Even the WHO is saying that there is no way of 100% curbing this outbreak, so how can someone believe that vaccination can control the deaths / outbreak of covid-19. We are willing to equally respect the government's actions and want to cooperate for curbing this outbreak.

Personally I am not going to share any picture of any political person, even of any government employee (if he is a police person or anyone else). So now let's start the story of inhumanity on rare people in India.

Firstly all we know that the Indian government formerly announced lockdown on last week of March, 2020. A huge number of people migrated from Bihar, UP, Madhya Pradesh to different developed states in India like Maharasthra, Delhi, Gujrat, Telangana etc. They had to walk on barefoot, they had to chase a distance of more than 1000 kms. They got some help from good human beings around us, but no doubt majority people ignored them, and laughed at their situation.

Black marketing, hoarding also took place, how injustice those people could be who earned hefty money on someone's shroud! Not only those rich shopkeepers, but many medical operators, doctors also raised the prices of medicines, even I overpaid for some medicines previous year. You must have listened news of Kidney theft by doctors, this is not really fake news. We have witnessed cruelty against common people, poor ones, labors that police lathicharge is only key to curb covid.

Just imagine, how uneducated kind persons are serving the nation who do not even know the difference between medicine, and lathicharge. They ignored the needs of people, they also ignored the values and conditions of a common person, but they definitely tried to beat daily wage workers, even who were searching for meal, returning home, may be there are many who do not have their own home. No one cared.

Think, lockdown was need of time, I agree. I also agree that time was utilized maintaining the hospitals and equipment. But  What happened with CM Cares Fund for coronavirus? Everything has been hidden. 

I would like to share a story of government offices. I request again, please do not let my words as anti government, but I am describing here for betterment India. I care for humanity, I care for fighting against the dangerous outbreak COVID-19. All we are aware that COVID can be spread by any mean, may be pages, chairs, water bottle, anything. On daily basis you listen a circular from Government Official about work from home, do online work, blablabla. But for merely stating this, the authorities use hefty amount of pages, they get together in offices and take tea party, or rather using online, they state you to print 10 pages for no reason for so called different official purpose.

Very critical word, but most of government officers and employees are selfish, do not understand the menace of coronavirus disease. Even they do not wear masks, or sometimes you must have seen wearing beneath nose. Not only these government employees but common people also do not cares about these things, many times you have seen political celebrities doing rallies withing following the SOP guiding by the Health Ministry.

Actually there is no need of recent examinations, elections, opening public transports etc. But no one cares. In mid of this a common man, a lower earning or no earning person troubled. Seriously we need to have morality and humanity within us. A latest example of selfishness is selling of oxygen cylinder and people are standing in a Q.

More interesting fact that in elections our CM, PM, opposition all leaders urged to come out of homes to vote against opponents, no one cares about common man. In Madhya Pradesh, the government imposed lockdown statewide except Damoh district, because there was election. MP CM Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan says "get out of home and vote for sure." 

Dear readers, I have to stop writing now. This article is only for opening your eyes. I am seeing many people dying in front of my from COVID-19. If Judges, Magistrates, Officers are not safe, they fight in hospitals to get a ventilator, why do you hope to have get that? You will not get, take care of yourself and try to stay away from communal violence propaganda spreading by different media houses. They do care for their TRP and their earning, they do not care for a single life.

I, as a Clerk at MP Public Prosecution, urge you to please avoid gathering in Public and must wear masks. Before taking vaccine, must read about that. Everything is happening weird, you have to use your own sense to prevent this outbreak. Stay updated and start loving humanity, rather fall in political agenda. One more request, please do not try to get benefit of someone's poor condition, because if you are getting rich here, in God's room you are getting poorer.
