Punjab is a congress ruling Indian state. Congress had majority in 2017 and captain Amrinder Singh took oat as the chief minister of the state. Congress had many vision, agendas for the election. Time passed over and today when I am writing this article is 20/09/2021. In very next year there will be elections in Punjab for Chief Minister.

A big update coming from Punjab state is that Capt Amrinder Singh has resigned from the post of CM and Charanjit Singh Channi, who was cabinet minister in Amrinder's government took over the seat of chief minister. In this article I will discuss about the reasons of why Capt Amrinder Singh has resigned from his post just before some months of election.
It is not a long time when Navjot Singh Sidhu joined Congress party leaving BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) in previous years. Navjot, Channi and some other politicians created a group against Capt Amrinder Singh making allegation on Capt that he was unable to fulfill the promises made in manifesto of election of 2017. Next election is getting to be held in near future and Punjab government has no strong point to talk about the works.
Not only these were the allegations but control over drug mafia was also a big issue alleged on Capt Amrinder Singh. Actually there may be some other reasons of resigning of Capt from the seat of Chief Minister, that is yet to be come out. But for now, the new chief minister is Charanjit Singh Channi.
Important fact to be noted is that Charanjit Singh Channi is the first Dalit to govern Punjab Government in history as a chief minister. Charanjit Singh Channi took oat on today, dated 20 September, 2021. He will serve as the chief minister of Punjab for a time being. It is also said that the real gamer behind the scene is Navjot Singh Sidhu. Captain Amrinder Singh has also congratulated Charanjit Singh Channi on becoming the next chief minister of the state and even big leaders from different political parties have also congratulated him including the prime minister of India Narendra Modi.
This time is very crucial for national political points, recently on 18th September, 2021 Babul Supriyo, a famous singer and politician from BJP in West Bengal left BJP and join Mamta Banerjee's (Chief Minister of West Bengal) party TMC (Trinmul Congress). Babul Supriyo stated that he is ignored and targeted by his own political people, so that he is thinking of quitting the party, before he joined TMC.
