The employees of Madhya Pradesh government are waiting for increment in dearness allowance (DA) for a long time. It has been now more than 4 months continuous of hope and desires that the employees and officers have stacked eyes over the Shivraj Sarkar. When Kamalnath ji was in power, as CM (Chief Minister) of Madhya Pradesh, he had also promised for correction in differences and inequality of salaries in Clerical staffs of Madhya Pradesh. Formerly, the grade pay of Data Entry Operator and Clerical Staffs and similar posts was same, but later the grade pay for some posts was increased except clerical staffs. Now employees and officers of Madhya Pradesh are angry over the current government for making false promises and hiding behind the pseudo coronavirus outbreak hypocrisy.

First demand of these protesting employees is of increasing the dearness allowance that is actually pending from 1st July, 2019. The central government and most of states in India have already increased the dearness allowance for their employees and previously they have provided every possible benefit to their employees that was genuine like arrears, promotion, HRA, TA, and other benefits. But the government employees of Madhya Pradesh have been cheated for a long period of time. When it was Kamalnath's governance, he had stopped DA for a long period and when he realized of falling his government, increased DA but changed government of Shivraj Singh Chouhan again stopped the increased DA in the name of coronavirus crisis.
Everything was acceptable, but when the central government as well as some other states like Rajasthan , Bihar and Uttar Pradesh increased DA for their employees, the employees of Madhya Pradesh also protested for the hike in DA for fighting against the current monster inflation. The government of Madhya Pradesh assured for giving benefit to its employees and released two increments without deciding arrears for employees and officers. The employees felt happy and quit the ongoing protest for a time being.
Again the central government is thinking of hiking DA again for another 3% after a hike of 11% back to back, the total DA will be increased up to 31% for the central government employees in near future. The government employees of Madhya Pradesh are getting DA as per before dated 1st July, 2019. It is abolition of rights of Madhya Pradesh employees and they are mandated to work in underemployment. Now, the government employees are demanding various demands from the BJP led Shivraj Government, below mentioned are the demands by the state government employees of Madhya Pradesh -
1. Increase the Dearness Allowance for Madhya Pradesh government employees 16% and make it equal to 28% alike the central government employees from the date the central government is giving.
2. Provide arrears for the year government had stayed the increment DA and salaries with relevant interest rates.
3. Increase Grade Pay of Clerical Staff 2400/- to 1900/- instantly.
4. Release order of promotion.
5. Increase HRA instantly.
Union of Officers & Employees have been protesting for their rights mentioned above from month to initial September, and it is going on. Now the employees are tending to protest in 4 phases. The protest will go upto 28th October, 2021 for a huge protest in Bhopal. It is yet to see what happens, but it is sure the salary of Madhya Pradesh government employees will get hike soon.
