NIOS means National Institute of Open School previously known as National Open University (NOS) was set up in 1989 during Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi Ji after introducing National Education by MHRD. NIOS has changed the meaning of education widely.
NIOS provides many courses to its students up to intermediate / class 12th. This is Central University on the theme of IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University. IGNOU is known for its distance learning including certification, diploma and degree courses. On the theme of IGNOU, NIOS provides distance learning to its students. Students who can not pursue their regular study due to any reason, prefer distance learning from NIOS.
Students can opt examination date subject wise in many cycles a year. They can add subject to their marksheet. If a student cannot pass at once, he has unlimited chances for appearing in NIOS On demand examinations. There are regular distance learning and on demand mode provided by NIOS. Mostly working officials, or busy students choose on demand examination to enhance the beauty of marksheet.
On demand facility is available for every student after getting registration successfully through the website. He can opt for various streams available like science, arts etc. He has to upload relevant documents and pay once registration fee. After confirming the notification of application will be applicable as per his choice, and he can opt for different subjects with different examination fee. Registration is common for all subjects and cycles of examination.
The candidates are advised to keep safe the registration number and login credentials generated by the system. It will help them for future references.
