Uttar Pradesh Police is a government body that maintains law and order within state. Young aspirants enthusiasm shows the attraction towards police jobs. Candidates preparing for government jobs are eagerly waiting for government jobs and now their wait is over. The present government of Uttar Pradesh has released a notification for recruitment of various posts under Police Department of Uttar Pradesh.

Eligibility Citizenship - Candidate should be a citizen of India. Those candidates are also eligible who migrated to India for valid reasons mentioned in the official notification.

Salary - Candidates selected for these posts will get pay band of 9300-34800 and grade pay - 4200.

Total Number of Posts - There are different vacancies. So there are different number of posts. Below is mentioned different type of posts with different vacant seats. Total number of posts are 9534.

• Number of posts of Sub Inspector Civil Police - 9027
• Platoon Commander, PAC - 484
• Fire officer second - 23
• Category wise reservation is applicable.

Educational Qualification - Candidates must have Graduation before the last date of applying for these posts. Graduation degree must be recognized from UGC India. Appearing candidates are not eligible, only passed candidates should apply.

Weightage of certificates - There will not be weightage for any certificate, but if two candidates procuring same marks, O-Level holder from NIELIT, NCC candidates, and state forces will get profit.

Selection Procedure - A online test will be conducted. This test will be of 400 marks in objective form. There are four subjects and each subject will have 100 marks section wise. Candidates will be given time of 2 hours (120 minutes) only. Minimum 35% marks for each section is needed, and consolidated 50% marks is needed to be in the race. If a candidate fails to get 50% marks of maximum marks, and / or fails to secure 35% marks section wise in any one of these four sections, he will immediately be out.

Merit will be prepared on the basis of Computer Based Online Test.

Physical Measures - There will be running test (notified in official notification).

1. For Male General / EWS / OBC / SC candidates must have 168cm height, while ST candidates should have 160cm height. 
2. For Female General / EWS / OBC / SC candidates must have 152cm height, while ST candidates should have 147cm height. (Weight of female candidates should be least 40 kg)
3. Chest expansion test also be applicable for male candidates. For ST 77-82 cm (+5 expansion), rest 79-84cm.
